Security heightened after threatening note found at Deuitt Middle School

SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- Spring ISD has stepped up security at a local middle school after a threatening note was found on a classroom whiteboard.

The note was found at Deuitt Middle School, where district officials say the message threatened violence next Monday.

Monday is actually the first day of the district's Thanksgiving holiday.

Students will be in class today and should expect to see a greater presence of security on campus as a result of that message.
