Univ. of Houston football players make special visit to hospital

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The University of Houston football team paid a special visit to TIRR Memorial Hermann Monday.

Players from the team visited 13-year-old Daxon Whitlow who loves football, but that was put on hold when he was hit by a truck riding his bike.

"It makes you appreciate life and everything God has done for you," quarterback Greg Ward Jr. said.

Ward Jr. said it's great for the team to come and visit.

"Just going to continue to pray for him and hope he gets better," he added.
