Texas Southern ready for first round of March Madness
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Let the games begin!
Texas Southern men's basketball team will face No. 1 University of North Carolina in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
"If you compare the numbers around the country, our headlines are up there with the high majors," Marvin Jones said. "To be able to get those wins, keep racking up wins and NCAA Tournament appearances, it's just a great job that our team and this school's legacy is able to do."

The No. 16 Tigers and Tar Heels will tip-off at 3 p.m. on Friday in Greenville, South Carolina.
LADY TIGERS MAKE FIRST NCAA TOURNAMENT APPEARANCE
The No. 16 Lady Tigers will face No. 1 Baylor in the first round of the NCAA Women's Tournament.
TSU's game against the Bears is set for Saturday, March 18.
