HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Astros held their annual Astros FanFest at Minute Maid Park, and thousands attended.
The free event featured autograph sessions, fan forums, photo opportunities, and a chance to tour and play on the field.
The players enjoyed interacting with the fans as much as the fans did.
"It's a lot of fun," says Astros infielder Alex Bregman. "It is really exciting to see everybody's face, so many smiles. That is what we are trying to do, is put some smiles on some of the kids' faces."
There is a buzz around the team as well.
The fans are thinking a World Series appearance, and the players also have high expectations.
"We have a team that can make a run at it," says Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick. "We are all thinking, World Series."
