HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- If you were wondering if the Texans were still a hot ticket in the city of Houston, you can look to this morning's crowd of fans who were waiting for the first open practice of the season in town.

Since July, the team has held training camp some 1,200 miles away in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.

Monday marks a homecoming for the team after several weeks away and two preseason games, including a 27-23 win at NRG Stadium against the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.

More than 100 fans were already in line outside the Houston Methodist Training Center at 4 a.m. to get a first glimpse of the 2017 Texans.

The Texans will hold another practice on Tuesday before heading out to New Orleans for this weekend's preseason contest against the Saints.

You can watch Texans vs. Saints on the exclusive TV home of the Houston Texans, ABC13, on Saturday at 7 p.m.
