HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Rockets center Dwight Howard received a bone marrow aspirate injection on his right knee this morning, according to the official Rockets Twitter page. The tweet notes that the player will be re-evaluated in four weeks.

Howard's knee injury was expected to take him out of the game around a month. ESPN reports a fluid buildup in the knee prompted the Rockets to rule Howard out of this past weekend's trip to Detroit and Boston.

ESPN also reports today's procedure was conducted by Dr. Walt Lowe of Houston's Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine Institute.
