Revolution defeat Dynamo to extend unbeaten streak to six

Teal Bunbury scored in the 91st minute to break a 1-1 tie as the New England Revolution extended its unbeaten streak to six games with a 2-1 victory over the Houston Dynamo on Saturday night in Foxboro, Mass.

Bunbury, stationed alone on the right side of the six-yard box, took a crossing pass from Cristian Penilla and fired a left-footed shot into the middle of the net for the game-winner.

Defender Antonio Mlinar Delamea also scored for New England, which improved to 3-0-3 in its last six games. Matt Turner finished with five saves.

Darwin Ceren scored for Houston, which lost its sixth straight road contest and extended its losing streak to four games. The contest concluded a three-game, eight-day cross-country road trip for the Dynamo that started with a 4-0 loss to the Portland Timbers and included a 2-0 loss at San Jose on Wednesday night.

Joe Willis had five saves.

Houston showed no signs of fatigue from daunting travel early in the contest, forcing Turner to make four saves in the first 24 minutes. The Dynamo finally broke through on Ceren's first goal of the season in the 25th minute, blasting in a shot from the top of the 18-yard box through traffic and inside the left post past a diving Turner.

Ceren's goal was just the second in five games for Houston.

New England tied it in the 51st minute on Delamea's first goal of the season. The Revolution defender leapt high above a Dynamo defender to head in Diego Fagundez's corner kick inside the right post past a diving Willis.

Turner came up with another big save in the 57th minute for the Revs when Romell Quioto broke in free on the left side and fired a left-footed shot from the edge of the six-yard box.
