HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Houston Texans announced new ticket prices on Friday. And if you want to go, it'll cost you an average of a little more than $5 per ticket.

The average prices will go from $91.87 in 2015 to $97.32 in 2016. Last season, Houston ranked 13th in the NFL in average ticket price.

"NRG Stadium has earned its reputation as one of the best gameday experiences in the NFL and Texans fans are a major reason," said John Schriever, Texans Senior Vice President of Ticketing and Event Management. "Our fans give us a tremendous home field advantage, and this pricing structure will allow us to continue to remain competitive on the field and deliver an even more compelling fan experience."

The Texans have sold out 143 games consecutively. Their 14 consecutive sold-out seasons are most by any professional sports team in Houston history.

Home games in home schedule includes the Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, San Diego Chargers, and division rivals Jacksonville, Indianapolis and Tennessee.

Season ticket members enjoy a discount of more 20 percent off individual game ticket prices. They also receive priority access to training camp, draft day party tickets and other exclusive fan experiences throughout the year.
