HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Houston Rockets are hoping to win their 55th game of the season tonight, in the regular season finale versus the Minnesota Timberwolves.

This game does not mean anything in regards to the playoffs, but the Rockets do want to be sharp before the post-season begins.

The team cemented themselves as the third seed in the Western Conference standings, and know they will be playing the Oklahoma City Thunder when the playoffs begin.

Tonight, the starters' minutes will be limited, but still, expect one of the highest scoring teams in the NBA to put up a bunch of points. What the Rockets want to do is be sharp, but stay healthy.

Most of the NBA voters have probably made up their minds on who they will vote for as the MVP, but tonight does provide an opportunity for Harden to dazzle for a few minutes on the court before he lines up against Russell Westbrook in the playoffs.

Tickets for the Rockets' first and second playoff game are now on sale.
