Pearland prepares for title game
The Pearland All-Stars are preparing to play for a U.S. title on Saturday (2:30pm on ABC-13)

WILLIAMSPORT, PA (KTRK) -- On Thursday, the Pearland All-Stars moved on in the Little League World Series in dramatic fashion. They hit two home runs in extra innings -- the first to tie the game, the second to win it.

With the win over California, the local sluggers get a rematch with the only team that has beaten them so far - the Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, All-Stars. At stake is the U.S. championship, which can be seen on ABC-13 at 2:30pm.

The team is still pumped up after the come-from-behind extra inning victory, and on Friday, they were taking that excitement out on the practice field.

Pearland still has not determined who the starting pitcher will be, but because of pitch count rules, we know that not everyone will be able to go. We asked players and coaches about Thursday night's win and how they are one win away from being the best team Pearland has ever sent to Williamsport.

"We think about being the best that's come out of Pearland," said player Isaac Garcia. "Hopefully we will win tomorrow and play for it all on Saturday.

"It was up and down and emotions going back and forth and then just emotion being let out," said Pearland Coach Joe DeLeon. "We talk about, 13 as 1, and you never know who will come through on any night it could one any one of them."
