New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is expected to miss his second consecutive game Sunday as he continues to recover from what the team is calling a chest injury, sources told ESPN's Dianna Russini on Wednesday.

Gronkowski, who suffered the injury against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10, missed Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers and will not play this week against the New York Jets. Sources told ESPN that he's expected to return Dec. 4 against theLos Angeles Rams.

He has 25 receptions for 540 yards and three touchdowns this season.

Sources told ESPN that the Patriots' coaching staff is prepping the offense to be without Gronkowski against the Jets. His absence again leaves Martellus Bennett, who has 39 catches for 518 yards and four touchdowns this season, and Matt Lengel as the two available tight ends on the roster.
