CHARLOTTE, North Carolina -- The team that prays together, plays together.

The Philadelphia Eagles had a special moment before they took on the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night.

Wide receiver Marcus Johnson was baptized in the pool at his team's hotel before the game.

Johnson tweeted a picture of himself in the water, surrounded by several of his teammates.

Johnson said: "First time being baptized! Corporate worship is a beautiful thing!! Cleansed & reborn in Jesus name!"

Johnson is a League City native and went to Clear Springs High School. He went on to play college football at the University of Texas at Austin.
