Olympic gold medalist swimmer Michael Phelps was arrested for driving under the influence in Baltimore, Md early Tuesday morning.
TMZ's sources state that the swimmer failed his field sobriety test with his B.A.C. level nearly twice the legal limits. Phelps was also going 84 mph in a 45 mph zone.
The Olympic legend was charged with DUI, excessive speeding, and crossing double lanes. This is Phelps' second DUI charge, his first coming in 2004 at age 19. Phelps made a plea deal with prosecutors and received 18 months probation.
Phelps is best known for his performance in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he won a record eight gold medal wins for the United States.
