It appeared Tuesday that Houston Texans all-pro defensive end J.J. Watt was caught in the stop-and-go monotony of the city's traffic. After all, in the middle of the day, a truck crash and a resulting hazardous materials situation snarled traffic on the Katy Freeway.
Watt offered this observation in a tweet sent at 1:40 p.m. to his 4.6 million followers.
Houston traffic is on another level today— JJ Watt (@JJWatt) November 28, 2017
While it isn't confirmed whether Watt was indeed caught in traffic on the Katy Freeway, many Houston-based followers, more or less, offered this retort: It could be worse.
Uhhh hey JJ, some people wish they lived in Houston— Craig Hlavaty (@CraigHlavaty) November 28, 2017
Really JJ? Can’t be worse than LA love!— StylistInTheCity (@ToniFerrara) November 28, 2017

I sit in it all day to get you and Watson back— Dustin D (@Dustnthewinddd) November 28, 2017
What, no helicopter? You're J. J. Watt, for cripes sake. 🍷— Dale Robertson (@sportywineguy) November 29, 2017
Probably because of the construction on the JJ Watt Parkway.— Mubeen Walimomin (@mubeen4834) November 29, 2017
