Huffman soars past Silsbee

HUFFMAN, TX -- At the beginning of the season, Huffman coach Mike McEachern said his goal was to be undefeated in district, win a district championship and advance through the playoffs.

Friday night, the Falcons notched the first win en route to those goals, routing visiting Silsbee 55-21 in Huffman and improving to a program best 5-0 under McEachern.

"Five-and-0 feels real good," McEachern said. "It hasn't happened in the twelve years I've been here. We said be physical and play with emotion and we came out and did that and I'm so proud of the kids."
