The Houston Dynamo saw their three-match winning streak come to a halt after surrendering a stoppage-time goal in their last outing.

The Dynamo (3-2-5, 14 points) aim to get back on track and extend the unbeaten streak that's still alive to seven matches on Saturday when they visit FC Dallas (2-2-4, 10 points) in Frisco, Texas.

Houston played to a scoreless draw versus FC Dallas at BBVA Stadium in the previous encounter of the Texas Derby, on Aug. 21. The Dynamo also picked up the single point following their 1-1 gut-wrenching draw against Colorado on Wednesday.

"I feel good about the team. We're in a good spot. We've got ourselves in a playoff fight, which is where we want to be," Houston coach Tab Ramos said. "... Now we're just moving on to think about Dallas, and that's the next opponent that we'll be fighting with, so that's a good one."

Christian Ramirez, who scored early in the second half on Wednesday, was denied from point-blank range in the 27th minute by goalkeeper Jimmy Mauer in the previous match versus FC Dallas.

While the Dynamo enter Saturday on a 3-0-3 run in their last six matches, FC Dallas saw their four-game point streak (1-0-3) come to an end after dropping a 3-2 contest to Minnesota United on Wednesday.

Ricardo Pepi scored his second goal of the season (tied for the team lead) with an assist from 19-year-old defender Bryan Reynolds, who was making his first start after filling the role of fellow Homegrown Reggie Cannon. Cannon completed his transfer to Portuguese side Boavista FC this week.

FC Dallas has also played without Zdenek Ondrasek (personal) for the last two matches, with coach Luchi Gonzalez unable to confirm a timetable for the striker's return.

"I wish I could answer that. And I wish I could count on him to be available," Gonzalez said of Ondrasek, who scored seven goals in 17 appearances (seven starts) last season.

"... There's a family situation, a private situation that I can't go into detail about that he just needs time to process and I respect that and we respect that as a club. So I'm not sure if we'll see him soon or even again. That's the reality of the situation but I'm going to learn more each day."

FC Dallas has scored just 10 goals this season, matching Vancouver Whitecaps FC for the fewest in the Western Conference.
