BRYAN, TX -- Crosby kicked off its homecoming weekend with a resounding 62-10 drumming of visiting Galena Park Friday, thanks to Cougar quarterback Tristen Cotton's four touchdowns and a defense that shutout the Yellow Jackets in the second half.

Crosby scored on eight of its twelve possessions, including its final four consecutive possessions to seal the game.

"We've been close all year," Crosby coach Jeff Riordan said. "Against Nederland, we scored a bunch of points and even at Barbers Hill and Humble, there were a lot of points left on the field and our offense wasn't quite clicking yet, but tonight we clicked when we needed to, especially in the second half."

It's not like Crosby's offense was absent in the first half; the Cougars scored on their first two possessions with D'onta Allen punching in a 10-yard touchdown and Cotton tossing a 36-yard deep ball to Emmanuel Netherly to make it 14-0 with 7:09 in the first quarter.
