ALOHA! University of Houston to play Fresno State in the Hawaii Bowl

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The University of Houston Cougars (7-4, American Athletic) will face Fresno State (9-4, Mountain West) in the Hawaii Bowl, officials announced Sunday.

The Hawaii Bowl is set for Dec. 24 at Aloha Stadium.

BOWL HISTORY:

Fresno State: The Bulldogs are 10-13 in bowls and playing in one for the first time since 2014, when they lost to Rice in the Hawaii Bowl.

Houston: The Cougars are 11-13 in bowls and playing in one for the fifth straight year.
