HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Junior Steer Auction took place Saturday afternoon at the Houston Rodeo and Livestock show. You can watch the entire show below.

A record-setting 2,814 steers were entered into the Houston Livestock Show in 2017.
A teenage exhibitor at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo sold his prize steer to none other than Zac Brown.
More than 64,000 fans turned out for the steer selection on Friday evening.

The grand champion, a Charolais named Playa, sold for $345,000 and was shown by 15-year-old Jagger Horn of Anson.

"It's a dream come true. It's a life-changing experience," Horn told ABC13. He will receive $80,000 from his sale.

A teenage exhibitor at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo sold his prize steer to none other than Zac Brown.

Brown, his wife Shelly and four other bidders paid $330,000 for mixed-breed reserve champion Magic.

Stock Martin, 16, of Hereford is guaranteed $40,000 from the sale.

"That's about as good as it gets! I couldn't have imagined it," Martin said about selling his steer to a celebrity.
