Military brides get free wedding dresses
Some active-duty military brides drove hours for a chance to get a free wedding dress

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Dozens of military brides drove hours to get fitted for a free wedding dress today.

It's just one major detail these active-duty brides won't have to worry about as they plan their weddings. Military brides get free wedding dresses from Brides Across America. It's an organization that gives out those donated dresses to active military brides, or those engaged to active duty members.

After registering, the brides walk away with a free dress, just like Erica Cain who drove in from Fort Hood.

"I'm really really excited about it. It just makes it even better that people are doing things for soldiers and supporting us, and we really appreciate it. I really appreciate it," Cain said.

This event is held each year, and future brides can register at BridesAcrossAmerica.com to signup for the next wedding dress giveaway.
