HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Make sure you set aside a purple outfit and get ready to party like it's 1999. A local restaurant is paying tribute to legendary musician Prince with a dinner and party.

It's been one year since the late multi-award winning singer and songwriter was found dead in an elevator at his Paisley Park home. His death on April 21, 2016, sent shock waves across the world.

SLIDESHOW: Look back at the iconic career of Prince through the years

Executive chef and owner of Lucille's Restaurant Chris Williams is a big fan of Prince, and he honored him with a special 7-course dinner on April 19.

"Because Prince loved the number 7 and was a vegan, Chef Chris has put together this 7-Course Pescatarian Wine Dinner (with some vegan options)," the event states.
