LAS VEGAS, Nevada (KTRK) -- An Iraq war veteran was rewarded for stealing a truck to help victims of the Las Vegas shooting.

Taylor Winston, 29, was given a free truck for his actions at the shooting scene outside of the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

Winston stole a truck and used it to drive wounded victims to the hospital after the mass shooting on Oct. 1.

With the new truck, Winston said he's going to sell his current car and donate the proceeds to victims of the shooting.
