HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Hundreds of people have trained for the BP MS 150 ride. Day one of the ride was cancelled but the exposition went on.
Eyewitness News' Christine Dobbyn is a first time rider of the 180-mile trek.
"I'm riding in honor of my dear co-worker Eyewitness News anchor Melanie Lawson, my aunt Carol and friends, Tami, Emily and Jina," Dobbyn said.
Dobbyn said this was a tremendous fitness challenge and decided she wanted to increase her strength during her training.
Her goal is to raise $3,500 for MS research.
