HOUSTON -- Segment 1 - Unity National Bank, the state's only African American-owned bank, has seen an explosion of new business in the wake of the recent headlines involving the fatal shootings of African Americans at the hands of law enforcement. John Scroggins, President and CEO of Unity National Bank, says the bank will put those millions of dollars of new deposits right back into the Third Ward community in the form of small business loans.
