Treacher collins syndrome
ABC13's Samica Knight checks on Lance Dromgoole, who caught our attention years ago.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Lance Dromgoole was born with Treacher Collins Syndrome, a condition that affects facial development.

He has had 38 surgeries at Texas Children's Hospital -- from making him able to breathe, putting in cheek bones and giving him ears.

Last week, 12-year-old Lance spoke for the first time about his condition during the hospital's premiere of "Wonder."

Throughout everything he has been through, Lance is just like every other child.
