Area students head to World Championships for robot competition

The Bricksmart team will head to St. Louis, Mo., in April for the World Championships. (HCN)

Middle school students from The Woodlands and Houston took top honors at the South Texas FIRST LEGO League Championship, and the Bricksmart team will head to the World Championships in April.

Bricksmart won the Champion's Award and was named the overall winner. Students from Montgomery County will go to St. Louis, Mo.

They are one of over 100 teams from over 50 different countries which will attend the World Championships.

This was Bricksmart's third year at FLL. All five team members live in different parts of Montgomery County and go to different schools.
