HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A teen in southwest Houston who lost everything in a fire -- including her prom dress -- has some new-found hope this morning after an ABC-13 viewer gave her a new prom dress and shoes.

We first told you about Charon Beasley and her family's story yesterday. All eight of them escaped from a fire at their house in Newquay at Abide. That fire destroyed just about everything. It also ruined that teen's brand-new prom dress.

But an Eyewitness News' viewer came to the rescue and ended up donating a dress.

Charon said of the woman's generosity, "I can say it warms my heart to see that you all are offering me things even though I lost a lot in the fire. It's just overwhelming."

The viewer also had shoes to go with the prom dress -- in the right size.
