Volunteers in the Dominican Republic are hard at work cleaning up the waves of trash spotted at the beach.

A video has surfaced of volunteers collecting about 520 tons of trash from the beach in nine days.

It all started when an organization shared the shocking images.

This is something they say happens every time heavy rain hits the area.
