HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- It's signing day for two local high school football stars who have committed to where they'll play in college.

Defensive end Max Wright officially signed with Texas A&M University. The 6'4, 235-pound senior at Katy Taylor High School is considered a four-star recruit.

He committed himself early to the Aggies, before he knew head coach Jimbo Fisher would take over.

Wright posted on Twitter that he's excited to play for Fisher.

Jalen Green is the next big recruit. He's committed to the University of Texas at Austin.

Green goes to Heights High School and is considered one of the best high school cornerbacks in the country.

ABC13 spoke to Green over the summer after his coach, Adrian Byrd, was killed by a suspected drunk driver.

Green says Coach Byrd was the one who pushed him to go to school and play college football.

The Heights Bulldogs dedicated their season to Coach Byrd.
