HOUSTON (KTRK) -- With just five days left before the Christmas holiday, shoppers are out in full force to make those last minute purchases.

"Shoes, sweatpants," Rickie Carroll. "There is no more Christmas shopping for me after this."

For those who've put off the shopping, Kohl's is open 24 hours until Christmas Day.

"Makes Christmas shopping available to everybody, gives everybody open times," Kohl's manager Joseph Valentino said.

Other stores like Target and Macy's have extended hours and every place is full of sale tags.

With consumers expected to spend $320 billion this year, it's a great way to beat the crowds.

Postal workers are also busy this weekend to make sure deliveries are made on time. Online sales have led to a ten percent increase this year in deliveries.
