H-E-B launches new mobile app
Consumer reporter Patricia Lopez shows how the app can save you time and money on your next trip to the supermarket

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- H-E-B has launched a new mobile app built to save shoppers time and money.

The app can help you manage shopping lists, redeem digital coupons, and get information on products and recipes.

Once you download the app, you can build your shopping list. Then the app will check if the product is carried in their store. To save you time, the app will identify exactly where in the store the item is located by aisle and shelf. Then it will automatically sequence your shopping list according to the store layout of your location.

The app allows shoppers to email their shopping lists to friends or family members planning a trip to the store.

Hundreds of coupons are now available at your fingertips on heb.com and the mobile app. The app will also carry the store's weekly ad.

Users can sign up to be notified of exclusive digital coupons via text message. With that kind of convenience, shoppers no longer have to remember to bring all of their coupons to the store, and redeeming the digital coupons is simple.

"All shoppers need to do is select Coupons on heb.com or the mobile app, and then redeem them with a mobile phone number or PIN at checkout. No more printing or clipping coupons and the savings are automatically applied to the order at checkout," said HEB's Cyndy Garza.

Kroger has had their app for some time. To get started, create an account and register your Kroger Plus Card.

Like the H-E-B app, you can load digital coupons to your card and refill prescriptions online in just seconds.

On the Randall's app, you can track your gas rewards and load digital coupons based on your past purchases and general sales. With the app, you can also create your own shopping list and sort your list by store aisle for faster shopping, much like the new H-E-B app.
