Sex offender on the run after escaping Houston halfway house

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A sex offender is on the run after he escaped a Houston halfway house in early December.

A warrant is now out for Felix Rocha, 21, for a parole violation. Rocha is a convicted sex offender for child pornography possession.

Authorities say he escaped the Ben Reid Center in the 10900 block of Beaumont Highway on December 7. Rocha is also a confirmed gang member of the Broadway Gangsters, according to law enforcement officials.

Rocha is Hispanic, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 150 pounds, with brown eyes and black short hair. He has a tattoo on his left hand and a birthmark on his face.
