Caught on camera: Security guard dragged by shoplifters' SUV

WAYNE, New Jersey (KTRK) -- Dramatic security video shows the moment a security guard was dragged by an SUV as he tried to stop a trio of shoplifters.

The security guard spotted three women trying to steal merchandise from a Lord and Taylor department store in north New Jersey.

When he tried to confront the women, they drove off in their vehicle and dragged the guard with them. He fell off the SUV, hitting his head on the pavement.

He's now in the hospital with a concussion.

The three shoplifters are still on the run.
