Scientists say that an ancestor of the kangaroo could not hop. In fact, it walked upright -- one foot in front of the other, just like a person.

Scientists say that an ancestor of the kangaroo could not hop. In fact, it walked upright -- one foot in front of the other, just like a person.



The fact that it was 7 feet tall and weighed 500 pounds did not help.



The giant kangaroo also had the face of a rabbit.



It ambled around the Australian outback 100,000 years ago.
