Get designer duds at a fraction of the cost starting Wednesday

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- It's one of the most anticipated shopping events of the year. An ultimate resale extravaganza is happening at Houston's Uptown Park.

It's known as the Chic Boutique Showroom. Volunteers from The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary donate their clothing and volunteer their time to help get the sale up and running.

Shoes, evening dresses, purses, sunglasses and more are on sale for a fraction of their original cost.

If you want to see the deals first, admission for opening night is $20. Admission Thursday and Friday is free. Your last chance to shop these designer duds is Saturday.

The showroom is open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m Saturday at 1111 Uptown Park Blvd. across from The Tasting Room.

All sales from the event benefit The Salvation Army's Greater Houston Corps.
