BRISTOW, OK (KTRK) -- Oklahoma and federal authorities are searching for a man who they saw walked off with more than $75,000 after tricking Walmart employees into thinking he was an armored truck driver.
Bristow Police Detective Kevin Webster says the suspect entered the Walmart around 10:30 a.m. Saturday dressed similarly to a Loomis armored transport employee. He says the suspect strolled to the cash office, signed for the deposit and casually walked out of the store.
Walmart employees called police after the real Loomis employee arrived about 45 minutes later.
A video surveillance camera captured images of the suspect and his car, a newer-model Chevrolet Malibu that was all black, including the wheels.
Webster says the Federal Bureau of Investigation is assisting officers with the case. Police tell KOTV that they are looking at the possibility that the man is a former Loomis or Walmart employee.
Bristow is located about 30 miles southwest of Tulsa.
