HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A man and woman authorities say killed a Houston cab driver have been arrested and charged with capital murder.

In court Tuesday, it was revealed one of the accused turned on the other during police questioning.

Police say Sunday Enilolobo was robbed, shot, dragged in the Yellow Cab van he drove for about a year. Enilolobo's family says he was a husband, father and grandfather who moved to Houston from Nigeria to provide for his family.

Now, Kandis Boone, 25, and Antuan Knox, 31, are charged with his murder.

Early Sunday morning, investigators say Enilolobo picked up Boone and Knox from a Wendy's on Greens Road in north Houston. He drove them a couple miles to a Stripes gas station off the North Freeway.

A witness at the gas station told police he saw the 43-year-old grandfather shot in his car. The witness said Enilolobo tried to run, but got caught in his seatbelt and was shot two more times.

Someone drove the cab five miles south, but it's unclear who.

Enilolobo was found dead, leaning half out of his cab, in the parking lot of an empty office building.

Investigators say video from inside the van shows Knox, who was sitting in the back seat behind Enilolobo, shot the cab driver. The video allegedly shows Boone sitting in the backseat on the passenger side, next to Knox.

"[A deputy] did observe the black male reach his empty right hand over to the black female and when he brought the hand back up, he was holding a handgun that he apparently obtained from the female," a prosecutor said during probable cause court.

Boone and Knox were arrested the next day.

The family is planning Enilolobo's funeral. If you'd like to help them, you can donate here: gofundme.
