Man killed during possible robbery near downtown Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was killed during a possible robbery northeast of downtown Houston, police say.

It happened just before 6:00am outside a home in the 2200 block of Pannell at Campbell.

Police say and adult male was found dead in front of the home from gunshot wounds. Police say they believe someone tried to rob the man and then shot him.

Police are still investigating.
