Weekend road closures you need to know about
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Here's a look at road closures in Houston this weekend:
IH-45 Gulf Freeway northbound connector ramp to US-59 northbound
The ramp will be shutting down at 9:00 p.m., Friday, Dec.1. A new ramp is being constructed and will not open until Friday, June 1, 2018. Because of additional construction in downtown, TxDOT recommends taking the 610 East Loop to I-10 to US-59 this weekend.
IH-10 westbound from IH-45 North to Houston Avenue and IH-45 northbound from IH-10 Katy Freeway to Quitman
The freeway will be blocked off from 9:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1 to 5:00 a.m., Monday, Dec. 4. Take Memorial Drive or 610 as an alternate route. These closures will allow for the emergency bridge deck work to repair a portion of the I-45 northbound to I-10 westbound connector.
SH-288 northbound connector ramp to IH-45 GULF
The ramp will be closed continuously from 9:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1 to 5:00 a.m., Monday, Dec. 4.
US-290 westbound from West Road to Eldridge Parkway
The highway will be closed continuously from 3:00 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 2 to 5:00 a.m., Monday, Dec. 4.
IH-10 eastbound and westbound connector ramp to US 290 westbound
The ramp will be closed continuously from 9:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1 to 5:00 a.m., Monday, Dec. 4.
