Still time for last minute shopping
You still have time, but not much of it!

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Retailers across town are doing their best to keep last-minute holiday gifts on the shelves.

"We've been getting shopped hard, which is good," Walgreens store manager Brian Barnett said.

At Bering's Hardware on Bissonnet, assistant store manager Walt Haralson said Yeti coolers and mugs are the hot gifts this year.

"Today is snatch and grab day," Haralson said. "It's the 24th, everybody's waiting to get that last minute gift, whatever they need to get, be it coffee, candy, last minute whatever."

Phil Buscovich is buying one of the Yeti coolers as a last minute gift for himself.

"When I just left the house, my wife said, 'now I don't want you to get anything for me,' and I said, 'well, I'm not!" Buscovich said.

Of the stores that are open today for last minute shoppers, many are closing early.
