Rails to Restaurants showcases downtown Houston restaurants
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Hope you are hungry! The fourth annual Rails to Restaurants event is taking place from 5:30-9:00pm today. Several new restaurants have opened up along METRO's light rail line, and this event give you the opportunity to sample many of them.
Participating restaurants include Including Lucky's Pub, Bovine & Barley, El Tiempo, The Moonshiners, and The District. Tickets are $20 and benefit Houston Greeters, an organization that offers a unique insight into Houston through the eyes of resident tour-guides.
"Houston is booming and we have businesses opening left and right we've got mass expansion here, and sometimes we forget about downtown, there are a ton of neat places to explore," Greeter Myra Johnson explained.
Organizers of the event hope it will inspire you to re-discover downtown.
