HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A recent crackdown by the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office landed 21 people under arrest in connection with an undercover sex sting.

Constable Mark Herman's office says they've gotten a number of complaints from residents about criminal activity along the FM 1960 W/Cypress Creek Parkway corridor. During the past few days, undercover Precinct 4 Constable deputies conducted operations to address concerns about prostitution, targeting both prostitutes and johns.

Constable Mark Herman said, "Focusing law enforcement resources on sex buyers reduces demand for prostitution, which strangles the sex industry and more importantly curbs human trafficking."

As a result of these Precinct 4 undercover operations, officials say 21 individuals were arrested; 20 were charged with prostitution, one was charged with two counts of felony drug possession and five misdemeanor warrants were also cleared.
