Driver accused of causing wreck that killed family of 5 on Beltway 8 goes before judge

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The driver accused of killing a family of five and injuring one will face a judge today.

Efraim Carmona is charged with five counts of intoxication manslaughter and one count of intoxication assault.

Deputies say Carmona was driving the wrong way last June on Beltway 8 when he hit the family.
