Kaine spoke at 10am at the communication workers Union Hall in Downtown Houston.

The senator comes to town as a series of new polls suggest Hillary Clinton could win Texas.

A recently released poll by Texas Lyceum shows Donald Trump is in the lead by seven points. That's still a sizable lead, but there may be inroads for the Clinton campaign.

When asked about immigration issues, 59 percent of respondents oppose building a wall on the border.

However, Texans do believe that immigration is one of the top issues facing the state.

A majority of those questioned believe immigration is a benefit to Texas.

Another poll out of the Washington Post shows Texas as tied between Trump and Clinton.

The Clinton campaign has opened a field office in Houston to try to make more inroads in the state.

Meanwhile, a University of Houston poll shows Clinton up by 10 points here in Harris County.
