NEW YORK (KTRK) -- Donald Trump joined tens of millions of Americans today and cast his ballot in New York City.

The Republican nominee is back in his hometown after a frenetic end to the campaign that saw him add a last minute late night stop in Michigan. It is one of several states his campaign says is up for grabs, despite what recent polling indicates.

"Now we have one flawed candidate left to beat," he told a large crowd in Grand Rapids. "It's going to be the very beginning of a new adventure ... it's making America great again, we're going to do it."

Trump's team said there are multiple paths to reaching the needed 270 electoral votes. But winning Some of the states in which polling has him trailing will be key.

"Michigan now stands at the crossroads of history," said Trump. "If we win Michigan, we will win this historic election and then we will be able to do all the things that we have wanted to do."
