Chase ends with an estimated 12 suspects fleeing on foot in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, TX -- Police are investigating a reported auto theft that turned into chase Tuesday in east Montgomery County and into Cleveland.

A Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable's deputy initiated a traffic stop headed north on U.S. 59 on a pickup truck that was reported stolen in San Antonio. Police said the vehicle fled, which led to a pursuit.

Other agencies joined in the pursuit, which police said ended on Magnolia Drive in Cleveland.
