Homeless community helps starving dog
A group of homeless people came together to help feed a homeless dog.

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (KTRK) -- A starving, freezing dog rescued in Tennessee is now getting lots of love.

The dog showed up at a Nashville food pantry that has been providing shelter to the local homeless population.

People there have been taking care of him ever since.

One man said the dog's condition was heartbreaking.

"You don't do this to an animal. Man, that's a shame to do this to an animal," said Tom Sweet "This animal is emaciated and dehydrated and didn't look like it was loved. It's loved now. It came to the right place. It's amazing that it came here."

The rescue group, Nashville Pitte, says it's taking the dog in.
