Enormous alligator cozies up on front porch

POYDRAS, Louisiana -- A Louisiana resident had an unexpected guest this weekend when they found an enormous gator posing as a doormat on their front porch.

Deputies were called to the scene and snapped these photos.

Authorities say they don't know how far the alligator traveled to end up at the home.

Officers at the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office warn others to "always look before you step!"
