Police kill dog after Pearland woman's arm severely injured
Investigators said they will return tomorrow to a home where a 20-year-old was mauled by her parent's dog in Pearland.

PEARLAND, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman is in the hospital tonight after she was attacked by her parents' three dogs at a home in Pearland.

Pearland police said they were forced to shoot and kill one of those dogs after they responded to the home on Edwards Avenue, just west of the South Freeway.

SkyEye 13 was over the scene where the 20-year-old victim was attacked at around 3:45 p.m.

Investigators said she was so badly injured, a helicopter flew the woman to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

As officers waited for the helicopter's arrival, one first responder applied a tourniquet to the woman's severely-injured arm.

Police say a dog was shot and killed after it mauled a woman in Pearland.

We do not know the victim's condition or what breed the dogs were in the attack.

Police said the dog that was killed is being tested for rabies.

Investigators will return to the home in the morning to interview the woman's parents.
