Man rescued after spending 7 hours trapped in own bathroom

PARK FOREST, Illinois -- A broken doorknob left an Illinois man trapped in his own bathroom for more than seven hours.

According to the Park Forest Police Department, it took three firefighters and two police officers to rescue the resident. Thankfully, they had the tools necessary to "get creative" and free the man without damaging any property.

"It's not quite as glamorous as a Hollywood rescue scene, but we'll take it," the police department wrote on Facebook.
